New Features added to halFILE!
We've been hard at work to provide you with the most complete and flexible
imaging system on the market. Balancing the job of creating new products
and features while still providing quality technical support is a challenge.
But I believe we've successfully met that challenge. Here is a list of
just some of the enhancements that have been made recently to our halFILE
for Windows product line:
Looking to the future, we plan to add even more features in the coming
months. Since we remain committed to dedicating resources toward supporting
the systems we now have in place, we have more ideas than we can possibly
implement this year. We also listen to your suggestions as we make our
decisions. Here are some of the enhancements at the top of our list:
email image files from within halFILE.
deskew, batch, and page handling settings are saved.
ODBC 2.0 compliant databases supported (including Microsoft SQL Server,
Sybase SQL Anywhere, and Oracle).
Lookups - pull data from an external database into halFILE by entering
one key field.
field links - more accurate searching for subdivision, lot, block type
barcode recognition - ability to split single barcode into multiple index
blank page deletion.
split documents on blank pages.
auto split images during Import.
default to today's date in index.
print multiple rows from hit list.

implement the new Kofax Imaging Toolkit (version 2.0) to add deshade, despeckle,
and line removal as well as more powerful printing support to halFILE for
release a 32-bit halFILE for Windows product.
implement a document routing feature.
For images being e-mailed, provide a document markup feature so the person
receiving the e-mail message will see your image annotations and notes.
support MAPI-compliant e-mail such as Microsoft Mail.
