Q I want to import only a few files, not the entire directory. How do I select only the files I want to import?

A In many places throughout halFILE and the Windows operating system you can take advantage of multi-select. If the files you wish to import are in a contiguous string you can click once on the first file in the list, then hold down the Shift key and click on the last file. All the files in between will automatically be highlighted. If you have files which are scattered throughout the directory, you can hold down the Control key and click on each file you wish to select. By using a combination of these two basic techniques you should be able to perform operations on many different items at once which in the past may have taken several different steps to accomplish.
